Who we are
I created DREI as a cultural space in Amsterdam where art, wine, and ideas come together.
I believe that the most meaningful conversations happen in places that invite people to slow down, connect, and exchange perspectives, surrounded by creativity, beauty, and curiosity.
DREI is more than a gallery, wine bar, or event space. It is a place where different worlds meet: Exhibitions alongside conversations, tastings alongside readings, and gatherings that bring together artists, writers, researchers, journalists, creatives, and people who share a curiosity about culture and society.
My aim is not only to organise events, but to build a community: A place people return to because they know they will encounter inspiring people, discover new ideas, and leave with a renewed sense of connection.
DREI exists to make culture more social, intellectual life more accessible, and conversations more personal. It is a space for exchange, discovery, and the simple pleasure of bringing people together around shared curiosity.

My name is Josie Seipp (1992), and I am a German-born, Amsterdam-based postdoctoral researcher and photographer. Alongside my research practice, where I investigate how technology and power affect human rights and society, I explore contemporary culture through photography, which I exhibited before. With a WSET Level 3 qualification in wine and a lifelong curiosity for the cultural role of shared experiences, I founded DREI as a space where where it all comes together to truly live, love and learn.
